Barbara Clark

Barbara Clark freely shares her wisdom and insights on natural healing, complementary medicine, and education.  She continues to teach Jin Shin Acutouch and currently works with people with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions.  She likes people and has a lifelong love of natural healing, education and business.

Barbara has been involved with Taoism and Asian Healing Arts since 1976.  She was ordained as a Taoist Priest at the Taoist Sanctuary in 1983, taking a vow of service to the community through healing touch.  She holds a diploma as a Holistic Health Practitioner, a Masters Degree in Somatic Education, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

For twelve years, Barbara ran one of the most prestigious therapeutic massage schools in the nation, IPSB, International Professional School of Bodywork of San Diego.  She created the first Bachelor and Master program with a primary focus on alternative healing and massage in America.

Barbara has written several books on Jin Shin Acutouch.   This unique method of healing touch was rediscovered in Japan by Jiro Murai and brought to America by Mary Burmeister.  She emphasizes the cultural influences of Japan, China, and India which can still be found within the system.  The theories of this system naturally create a bridge from ancient cultures to America and the contemporary science of psychoneuroimmunology.

Barbara is a warm, sensitive person who has the ability to organize, synthesize and teach intuitive information with intellectual understanding, so an individual can easily conceptualize material.  She came to the natural healing arts during her search for solutions to a chronic health condition.  Finding the medical approach incomplete, Barbara began investigating natural healing.  Ultimately, these studies have extended her life and changed her life forever.
